Who we are

What we collect

When you submit our contact form we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, company name, and a short description of what you're building.

When you buy a service, our payment provider Stripe collects your name, email address, billing details and card details. We receive your name, email address and what you bought, but never your card details.

We also collect usage data about how the site is used: pages visited, clicks, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and any errors. We don't use cookies or store anything on your device to do this.

Why we use it

We use contact form details to respond to your enquiry and to have a conversation about whether and how we can help, based on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. We use purchase details to deliver the service you bought and to keep records we're legally required to keep. We use usage data to understand how the site is used and to improve it, based on our legitimate interest in running a useful website. We will not use your details for marketing without your consent, and we never sell your data.

Who else processes it

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run this site:

• Resend — delivers your form submission to us by email. See Resend's privacy policy.
• Google reCAPTCHA — protects the form from spam and abuse. Its use is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
• PostHog — measures how the site is used, hosted in the EU and run without cookies. See PostHog's privacy policy.
• Stripe — takes payments for our services. See Stripe's privacy policy.

Cookies

We don't use cookies for analytics or advertising. The only cookies are set by Google reCAPTCHA on our contact form and by Stripe on its checkout page, to prevent spam and fraud.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry only as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of our correspondence. If our conversation doesn't lead to working together, you can ask us to delete it at any time. We keep purchase records for six years, as UK tax law requires. Usage data is kept for up to 12 months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@yardlabs.co and we'll respond promptly. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
